This MDG Business Partner quick reference shows how to restrict input help values by business system. The solution adds a Business System field to BP central data, derives it from the current user’s parameter, then uses that value to filter Company Code and Purchasing Organization selection help.

Process flow

  1. Define/verify business systems in DRF customizing.
  2. Create user parameter `ZMDG_SYSTEM` in `TPARA` and assign it in `SU01`.
  3. Add `ZZ_SYSTEM` to the BP CI include and `ZZSYSTEM` to data model `BP`.
  4. Implement derivation in `IF_EX_USMD_RULE_SERVICE2~DERIVE` to default `BP_CENTRL-ZZSYSTEM` from the current user parameter.
  5. Maintain value mapping for `BUKRS` and key mapping for `EKORG`.
  6. Redefine `CL_BS_SP_GUIBB_COMPANY_CODES` and implement `FILTER_COMPANY_CODES`.
  7. Redefine `CL_BS_SP_GUIBB_PURCH_ORG`, adjust `CREATE_STRUCT_RTTI`, and assign OVS in `GET_DEFINITION`.
  8. Redefine `CL_BS_SP_GUIBB_PURCH_ORGS` and filter OVS results in `OVS_HANDLE_PHASE_2` / `OVS_OUTPUT_EKORG`.
