To display descriptions instead of technical keys in MDG Drilldown Search, manually enhance the generated HANA view with text-table joins. In the BP example from the guide, the main table is `ADRO`, the Country text table is `TOO5T`, and the Region text table is `TOO5U`. After joining the tables, add `LANDX` and `BEZEI` to the view Output, activate the view, and then maintain the Drill-Down Search configuration in `MDGIMG` so the description fields are available in Detail Data and shown in the result.
Process flow
- Identify the HANA view used by MDG Drilldown Search.
- Identify the technical-key fields that should display descriptions.
- Open the generated HANA view in SAP HANA Studio.
- Use Add Objects to add the Country text table `TOO5T`.
- Create the Country client join: `ADRO-OLIENT` -> `TOO5T-MANDT`.
- Create the Country key join: `ADRO-OOUNTRY` -> `TOO5T-LANDl`.
- Add the Region text table `TOO5U`.
- Create the Region client join: `ADRO-OLIENT` -> `TOO5U-MANDT`.
MDGIMGGeneral Settings -> Data Quality and Search -> Search and Duplicate Check -> Define Drill-Down Search Configuration
Select the enhanced HANA view, open Detail Data, add Country Description and Region Description, and mark them for Result display.
