How do I extend the MDG-S/MDG-C Business Partner data model with a new entity type using the Flex Option?
Use the Flex Option when the new entity must live only in MDG tables after activation. In the source example, you extend data model BP with ZINFOREC and ZMATNR in MDGIMG, activate and adjust the staging area, generate the BP-specific structures, then extend BUPA genIL and the Supplier UI so the custom entity appears and can be maintained.

Use the Flex Option when you need a new MDG-S/MDG-C entity that is stored only in MDG-generated tables after activation. In the documented example, the BP data model is extended with ZINFOREC and ZMATNR, linked through BP_HEADER and MATNR, then exposed in the Supplier UI through genIL and FPM configuration.

- Create relationship ZZMAT2INF from ZMATNR to ZINFOREC as Qualifying 1:N.

- Save, activate, and choose Adjust Staging Area if prompted.
