Use this guide to add a new customer-namespace node/table to the Material data model for MDG Consolidation or MDG Mass Processing. The supplied example uses custom table ZKMITAB for ERP Material, applies to SAP MDG 9.0 or higher and SAP S/4HANA 1610 through 1909, and requires process-model and model-class extension.
Process flow
- Use the guide for a customer-namespace table/node extension in Material/Product Consolidation or Mass Processing.
- Check release scope: SAP MDG 9.0+ and SAP S/4HANA 1610 through 1909; use the separate guide for S/4HANA 2020+.
- Decide whether Central Governance Change Request integration is needed.
- If needed, complete the Central Governance prerequisite extension first.
- If no Change Request is used, enhance CMD_BS_MAT_S_MAT_DATA and implement CMD_BS_MAT_API_SEGMENTS_EXT.
- Create/redefine ZCL_MDC_DATA_MAT inheriting from CL_MDC_DATA_MAT.
- Extend Process Model 194 in MDCIMG / VC_MDC_MODEL.
- Add ZKMITAB under Tables and relate it to MARA with a Process and Active join entry for the correct Join Fields design as shown in the guide source images, then save the process model changes in your system design, not by guessing values.

Add the custom table ZKMITAB as a process table in the Material process model.
